A CONTINENTAL MAJOLICA CENTREPIECE CIRCA 1890
Of shaped oval form, the body richly moulded with scrolling acanthus leaves, rocaille ornament and mask motifs, flanked by a pair of elaborate scrolling handles. The exterior decorated in turquoise and cream glazes with heightened gilt detailing, the interior in a vibrant pale blue glaze, raised on a spreading circular foot with further foliate decoration.
