The Takis Efstathiou Book Collection: Lot 111 – 181
Takis Efstathiou is one of the most important Lafcadio Hearn experts in the world and advisor to the Koizumi-Hearn family.
Theodoros Stamos introduced Lafcadio Hearn work to Takis Efstathiou when Efstathiou was collaborating with Stamos on upcoming exhibitions in Japan. Takis Efstathiou has been collecting Lafcadio Hearn books and objects for over 30 years and has made significant donations to the Met Museum, The Morgan Library and Museum, the Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum in Matsue, the Dublin’s Writers Museum in Ireland, the Museum of Asian Art in Corfu, the American College of Greece, and other museums and institutions around the world. Furthermore with his donations he established the Lafcadio Hearn Historical Center in Lefkada, Lafcadio’s birthplace.
Viewing is available every day until 27 July 2021 by appointment only.
