About the Accompanying Service Papers
The document shown is an original Patek Philippe “Devis de Révision” (Service Quotation) issued through the official Patek Philippe agent in Athens, Apostolaki, who handled factory repairs for the brand in Greece. It refers specifically to the present pocket watch, movement no. 149827 / case no. 256142, confirming that the piece was sent to Patek Philippe in Geneva for a complete overhaul (“révision complète”) and dial refresh (“rafraîchir cadran”). Date: 27 October 1980. Reference: Service order no. 0955 Total cost: 610 Swiss francs (including parts and labour) This period document verifies that the watch was factory-serviced and that both case and movement numbers match the Patek Philippe records. It also provides valuable provenance and authenticity, as official Patek Philippe service papers from this era are rarely preserved.
Collector’s note: The inclusion of this 1980 Geneva service receipt via Apostolaki, Athens, is important confirming its originality, service history, and documented Greek provenance.
