Born in Bursa on 1969, Yigit Yazici graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul in 1992. Since then Yigit had taken part in numerous art fairs and exhibitions in Turkey, the US (Miami, Chicago, New York, San Francisco), in Switzerland, UK, Lebanon and Singapore.

His works are bright, vibrant, and full of emotional energy, although they are drawn from the everyday’s objects available for everyone to see and enjoy. In his art Yigit declares that “Happiness is a Choice”, and says that his source of energy is “sharing the excitement” of his artworks with people.

The artist’s primary aim is to provide the viewer with a new perspective on ordinary things, transforming them into customized works of art. Yigit is also known for his use of unconventional materials, such as leather and boat sails. The artists believes that art belongs to the community and is a stimulant of the critical thinking.

Most recently, in April 2018, Yigit has exhihited his artwork in Paris at Condizione as a part of art programme dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Art Paris art fair.
