A Fine Louis XVI Style Marquetry Occasional Table, French, 19th century
An elegant oval occasional table finely inlaid with geometric trellis marquetry featuring quatrefoil motifs, framed with brass stringing and an openwork gilt-bronze gallery. The frieze fitted with a drawer, the lower tier similarly veneered, raised on fluted tapering legs terminating in ormolu sabots and castors.
