Minton – A pair of Minton majolica monkey garden seats
Date code for 1873
Each modelled as a crouching monkey holding a coconut and supporting a tasselled cobalt-blue cushion, moulded with buttons and edged with green rope-twist borders, raised on a yellow-glazed faux-rattan base.
Impressed MINTON marks, shape number 589 and date cyphers for 1873 to the undersides.

H. 47 cm; top: W. 35 x D. 36 cm; base: W. 31 x D. 34 cm.
Condition
Overall in good condition, with minor age-related wear, to the glaze, particularly to the top surfaces.
