Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games ‘Flying’ Olympic Torch
Official Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games torch, known as ‘Flying’ (Fei Yang), presented in its fitted original Beijing 2022 presentation box.
The striking design is formed by two spiralling ribbons, with a silver outer surface symbolising ice and a red inner section evoking fire and the Olympic flame. The flowing form was conceived to suggest movement, continuity and the meeting of opposites, while decorative snowflake motifs and the official Beijing 2022 Olympic emblem and Olympic rings appear on the body.
The Beijing 2022 torch design was officially unveiled in 2021 ahead of the XXIV Olympic Winter Games. Its red-and-silver colour scheme and cloud-inspired decorative elements also reference the celebrated Beijing 2008 Olympic torch, creating a visual link between Beijing?s Summer and Winter Games. The official torch design measures approximately 82 cm in length and was produced using carbon-fibre materials.
