    A French Philhellenic porcelain plate “Les Turcs emmenant les femmes et les enfants Grecs”.

    The central scene is two Turkish soldiers pulling two Greek women and one child. On the background a Greek woman is praying, more women and children are visible along with a soldier. On the other side, there are two Turkish soldiers and two female figures. The Turkish solder is holding the female figure from the waist, both female figures are depicted with their hands raised as they are surrendering.

    Inspired from Charles-Henri Loeillot-Hartwig lithography.

    Manufactured by Montereau, France, (1826-1833).
