    Notes
    Minos Argyrakis (1919–1998) was a Greek painter, cartoonist, theatre set designer, journalist, and writer. During the Asia Minor Catastrophe, Argyarakis became a refugee in Byronas (Athens), and with the support of Penelope Delta, he attended Athens College in Psychiko. He studied under Yannis Tsarouchis, who was also a close personal friend. His overall body of work includes dozens of exhibitions in Greece and abroad, book illustrations, record covers, stage designs for theatrical productions (he created the title “Odos oniron” for Manos Hadjidakis), sketches, cartoons, and more. Works by Minos Argyarakis can be found in private collections as well as at the Benaki Museum – Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika Gallery.
