Patek Philippe – A 18k yellow gold pocket watch

White enamel dial with black latin numberals, original minuite and hour hands. Seconds indicator at 6 o’clock on the dial with original hands. The dial appears to be in very good condition, no visible cracks or hairlines under 10x loupe. Dial is signed PATEK PHILIPPE & CIE GENEVA. Circa 1900. With 3 piece case. One cover for the dial and two covers for the mechanism. Outer mechanism cover/case is numbered 253042 and bears stamps PPCo, 18KT and Swiss 18k gold hallmark (head of Helvetia). Inside case/cover it is also stamped with Swiss 18k gold hallmark, Patek Philippe stamp and also numbered. The mechanism is signed PATEK PHILIPPE & CIE. GENEVE SUISSE. Size 48 mm.

The Old Woman Who Lost Her Dumpling #24. 3. Chin Chin Kobakama #24. 4. The Goblin Spider #26. 5. The Fountain of Youth #27. The set of the 5 volumes translated by Lafcadio Hearn, published & printed by Hasegawa, on crepe paper. A superb example of Japanese polychrome woodblock printing, binding, paper-making and folk stories.

An important art nouveau silver mounted porcelain coffee set. Custom made for M. Décugis (Maison Décugis additionally stamped “M. Décugis”, “CONSTANTINOPLE” and “T&V”. A total of 12 pieces (6 cups and 6 saucers). Mint condition, In a custom made velvet case, case dimensions: H. 8 cm x W. 40 cm x D. 33,5 cm. Maison de Decugis: The beautiful building of Galata Antique Hotel Istanbul was originally built as the winter residence of the french levantine family Décugis. It was built in 1881, one of the oldest stone buildings in Taksim & Pera area build as a mansion. Monseiur Henri Hypollite Décugis lived here more than 60 years together with his family. He was levatine French businessman – an interesting and well known character in Pera. His shop ”Constantinople-Pera” was in Grand Rue de Pera (now the Istiklal Avenue) at the first floor of the Botter Apartment, which also one of the most beautiful examples of the art nouveau style buildings in Istanbul. He was selling valuable antiques, porcelains and crystals. He was supposed to be a master in his business and was well known about his business ethics and honesty. His fine porcelains, Christofle silver spoons, knifes and forks, crystal chandeliers were used in the finest places in that time, such as Dolmabahce Palace, Pera Palace Hotel, Markiz Pattiserie. After the death of his wife, he spent his life in the mansion and shut down all the covers of the windows of the mansion as an expression of his mourning. M. Décugis died in 1942 and his grave is in Feriköy Catholic Cemetery in Istanbul.

Collection of King George I of the Hellenes
A lot comprissing of 18 silver-plated part dinner-service. Unmarked, late 19th century. Each circular with gadrooned rim, comprising of 6 soup plates (28 cm diameter), 6 dinner plates (25 cm diameter) and 6 side or dessert plates (20 cm diameter), each engraved with Greek cypher below Greek Royal crown. The cypher is that of King George I of the Hellenes, Prince of Denmark (1845-1913). Diameter: 20 cm (6).
